Introductions

geocities.yahoo.com has been around for a long time, and has been the house-hold brand name for free web hosting, just like hotmail.com equals free email, yahoo.com equals search engine, it was the internet home for every new webmaster. Geocities.com was later taken over by yahoo.com and integrated into yahoo.com during the expansion plan of yahoo.com's to beef up it's own portal offerings to increase stickiness. Not much of noticeable new development after the intergration, however, it is still a faily good starting point for any new webmaster.
